stats and about me

Height: 5’2”
Start weight/Highest weight: 186 lbs (April 2, 2011)
Current Weight: 140 (March 27, 2012)
Ultimate Goal weight: Between 110 lbs- 125 lbs

So here are pictures of me from my childhood with my parents. I’ve never told Tumblr this before, but right before I was born (and when I was a baby) my parents were both body builders and my father has his degree in exercise science (aka he’s a personal trainer). Throughout my teen years I grew up in one of my city’s largest gym facilities and I can distinctly remember my father’s hands always having the faint smell of metal. I also can remember how much I hated the sound of my father’s workout pants that he had to wear every day. :P

These pictures are from 8th grade when I climbed Mnt. Cardigan, I trained and got in very good physical condition, my pack weighed about 40 lbs and I was probably 5’1” and 120lbs. :) 

So, with that being said, I grew up with a pretty active family. We also ate very well, and barely ever had junk food lying around the house, so when I went to friend’s houses it was odd seeing candy not on a holiday or for halloween. I didn’t really start gaining weight/ looking different until my senior year of high school, more or less the second half of the year. I started taking birth control and went from my normal 125lbs to 140. I also was no longer active in musical theatre, because I was working after school to save for college.

^^ above picture, about 125-128 lbs. Size 6 jeans most likely and a pretty flat stomach. Size C cup size, 16 yrs old.

I was accepted to a number of schools but decided a university would fit me best. I came in as an English major with a focus in writing, and I am still an English major with an additional art minor. :) I love it here, but the food choices and lack of exercise is what helped me get to 186 lbs before I even knew it. I was having difficulty breathing while walking across campus. I had to purchase size 14 jeans from Old Navy…things were wrong. Finally one day I had enough and I decided to make this blog.

^^^ this is at my highest, 180’s…eating a Wendy’s. I still eat at Wendy’s and I’m 40 lbs lighter now, I just don’t splurge for Frostys all the time. :P

In the beginning, things went slow… I didn’t drop 10 pounds in a week, but I did start seeing changes and I liked them. I’ve been on this journey now for 7 months and I’ve dropped 38/40 lbs from my highest weight. It’s been difficult, but I’ve kept my goals in my head the entire time and I will not stop until I’m 125 lbs again! I eventually want to be 118lbs, but I will cross that bridge when I get to it. :) Also, I am 100% a healthy weight loss blog, but I am always here if you are struggling with an eating disorder. All of my stats and goals are healthy for ME. Weight is a flexible thing and everyone has different weights that their body should be at. :)

Currently I weigh about 143 lbs and still need to lose 18 more lbs to get to 125 lbs. My body needs something new to do to lose the weight because it’s happy being in the 140’s. To anyone around the same weight, if you please could drop me an ask. I would love you forever, we can do this! :D Thanks!!!
